Bob Dixon
I was on my way for a pint off Grafton street after working with Join me in the Pines who were playing in Iveagh gardens in Dublin when i came across this band in full swing on the street getting the crowd moving on a hot summers night in the city.
It generated a huge interest online (its been viewed over 200,00 times) and I licenced the video to a company in New York as well as doing an interview with the Irish Times! Nice to see a simple short video warm peoples hearts and show them how great a city Dublin is.

A project I did with my mother..Betty Dixon..walking in her shoes when she lived in Dublin's Blessington st in the 1940's until she was 7 years old when the family moved to Cabra. It was my first attemp at doing a documentary like this as I recently upgraded my camera allowing me to shoot video. The head phone in her ear was set up to capture audio but unfortunately it didnt work hence the poor sound at times but the time I spent walking around the city was incredible and an honour to have such a beautiful woman to relive her past to me and you. Thank you so much mam..xx The fantastic Lir playing to a sold out Whelans..was beautiful to work with the lads again with so much energy on stage..legends who have influenced so many in the Irish music scene.
Collection of photos from the excellent recent Join me in the Pines gig at Thomas House. I have worked with each band member apart from Mick over the years in different acts..bringing them all together in one band means one smokin gig and they delivered that. The 2014 album "Inherit" from Join me in the Pines is one of my all time favorite album.
